DILA Takes the Lead in Changing Mindsets for a Self-Reliant Community
Unemployment and poverty continue to affect both the refugee and host communities in our region. Many young people are still waiting for ready-made jobs, yet the world today demands creativity, skills, and the courage to create opportunities for ourselves.
As the Digital Innovators League Africa (DILA), we believe that real change begins with mindset transformation. That is why we have taken it upon ourselves to inspire and empower our community—especially the youth—to start thinking differently about opportunities.
Yesterday, during a stakeholders meeting, one of the community leaders emphasized the same need. The leader encouraged DILA to closely engage the youth so they can become more self-reliant and confident in their abilities. This message is a strong reminder that the future of our community depends on how empowered our young people become today.
At DILA, we are committed to helping youth discover their potential through digital skills, creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. We want young people to move from waiting for jobs to creating jobs. We want them to believe in themselves, build new ideas, and make meaningful contributions to the growth of our community.
This is not just our goal—it is our responsibility. Together with partners, community leaders, and the youth themselves, we will continue working towards a community where poverty is reduced, opportunities are created, and every young person becomes self-reliant.
Because when the mindset changes, the future changes.
