Adolescents receive life skills training
Digital Innovators League Africa (DILA), in partnership with Danish Refugee Council (DRC), officially launched Life Skills Training for School Dropouts in Omugo, Rhino camp refugee settlement and the response was incredible.
Dozens of adolescent boys and girls showed up on the first day of orientation, each carrying a story, a struggle, and a dream for a better future.
For many of these young people, leaving school was not a choice. It was the result of poverty, displacement, and difficult life circumstances. But today, they were given something powerful! another chance to learn, grow, and rebuild their confidence.
To ensure every voice is heard and every learner gets proper attention, the adolescents will be organized into smaller learning groups. This will allow for meaningful discussions, stronger mentorship, and a safe space where young people can freely express themselves.
Through this program, they will gain critical life skills, confidence, and knowledge to help them make informed decisions and shape their futures.
At DILA, we strongly believe:
A school dropout is not a failure. It is simply someone whose journey needs a different path.
And today, that new path has started.
Together, we are empowering the next generation to rise again.
